On August 10th, America’s first art exhibition for dogs, dOGUMENTA, opened at Brookfield Place New York. The exhibition ask artists to address the canine community’s concerns and interests through a variety of media—from sound and sculpture to kibble and squeaky toys.
dOGUMENTA’s curatorial team commissioned ten new artworks by established and emerging New York City artists that merge their design aesthetic with canine’s experience and perception. The four-legged exhibition-goers encountered a diverse collection of artwork using color, sound, scent and touch to capture their attention.
The three day event was held on the beautiful waterfront Terrace, where both pups and their humans could revel in the dog days of summer.
